Introduction
We all know that having a password means that other people should not be able to access our accounts. In theory we do not tell people our passwords, have it written down somewhere or have an “easy password”.
Have you ever noticed that when you forget your password and request a new one the system will give you a 10-16 letter string of gibberish? This is a secure password. This little rant is to help instruct people on how to make very secure passwords quickly, easily, and most importantly easy to remember!
Nearly every form where you register a password will tell you to have, at a minimum, 8 characters. I prefer a minimum of 12, but that is just me. Using this method you will easily meet that.
The form will tell you to have UPPER and lower case letters. Again, easily met in this method.
Finally, the form will want numbers scattered in the password to make it that little bit harder to guess. Check.
Method
This method is so personal that you should never have to worry about forgetting your up with a sentence that means something to you. For example ‘I proposed on one knee in Birmingham’.Take the first letter of each word (ipookib) and put a few of them into uppercase (IpookiB).Now you have a choice of either converting some of the letters into their ‘leet-speak’ numerical alternative (Ip00k1B) or put in a number sequence that is personal to you (avoid birthdays and anniversaries), such as Ipoo280209kiB.(OPTIONAL) For extra security, insert some random symbols into your password (Ipoo%280209kiB@)
Conclusion
This method of password generation will mean you will never have to worry about hackers, crackers, friends looking over your shoulder or over-protective parents guessing your password and gaining access to your account.
